Cr Trevor Pickering

Mayor, Croydon Shire Council

Trevor was first elected to the Croydon Shire Council as a councillor in 2000 to enable him to further promote his interest in seeing the Croydon Shire move forward and maintain and grow its community.

Following that term as councillor, Trevor was Deputy Mayor for two (2) terms before being elected as Mayor in 2012 and he has held that position through the 2016 election to now.

Trevor has lived his whole life in Croydon and is 4th generation of the Pickering family who are synonymous with Croydon. His and his wife Leonie have raised their two daughters, Josephine and Amy, in Croydon.

Outside of local government, Trevor has been in the cattle industry all his life and also, since 1994, he has also operated an earthmoving business.

Trevor maintains his interest and participation in the community through his role as President of Croydon’s local Sports Club which is called Croydon Carneys Sports Club which also reflects Trevor’s hobby interest in a range of different sports.
