Liz Drumm
Disaster Management Services
Passionate about Queensland’s rural, regional and remote communities, born and bred in Rockhampton and living and working across Queensland, Liz’s career has been predominately within Local Government, complemented by roles in State government and not-for profit organisations.
For almost 20 years, Liz has led programs that build resilience, community strength and local capacity - supporting resilience through economic, environmental, education and infrastructure investment, and enabling the intersections between these areas.
Liz strongly believes that focusing on building robust relationships and networks is key to ensuring coordinated, shared partnerships, leading to optimal outcomes and more resilient organisations and communities.
Liz’s experience centres around project management, commuity and organisational resilience, disaster and enterprise risk management, engagement, and corporate governance.
As a disaster management specialist, Liz has worked throughout Queensland's disaster events across the state, over the past two decades, in response, and in recovery and preparing for future resilience - within both council coordinator roles, or volunteering for the Australian Red Cross.
Her understanding from lived experience supports the development of advocacy strategies and representing the interests of Queensland councils in State and Commonwealth forums.
