WHAT WE SEEK:

a.  Financial support for NWQROC projects and initiatives.

HOW THIS WILL HELP THE NORTH WEST AND QUEENSLAND RECOVER:

Similar to the funding provided to Remote Area Boards (RABs) (currently $150K per annum), we believe our ROC operations could achieve greater benefits for our communities if it was financially supported by the State given the role it plays in coordinating strategic policy initiatives, facilitating collaboration between levels of government and industry and helping achieve broad based community outcomes.

Whilst recovering from the impacts of COVID-19 will require state-wide measures and support, regionally led responses offer an opportunity to build and strengthen existing frame-works, partnerships and collaborative arrangements to maximise outcomes over both the short and long term.
